How to Play:
The goal is to complete as many closed “structures” as you can. There are three types of structures:
- A landing pad is complete when all sides form an enclosed shape with a border
- A power line is complete when both ends are be terminated with power nodes
- A power node is complete when all connected power lines are terminated at both ends
The game is turn-based and plays as follows:
- A player draws a tile from the stack
- A tile can only be placed where its side(s) match the side(s) of the surrounding tile(s)
- Red squares highlight the possible placements for the drawn tile’s current rotation
- A right-click rotates the drawn tile; different possible placements are shown for each rotation
- A left click on a red square places a tile in that location
- After a tile is placed, a betting window will pop up with three possible betting chips
- Left-click on a chip to select it
- Green stars will highlight where the bet can be placed on that tile
- Bets can only be placed on structures that have no current bets
- Multiple stars can show up on a tile; it doesn’t matter where within a structure a bet is placed, only on the type. For example, a tile may have a power line, node, and two sides of landing pads. It doesn’t matter which star on the pad you choose, just whether you want to bet on the line, node, or pad
- Stars will not show up on spots where bets are disallowed
- Scoring only occurs at two times: when a structure is complete and when the game is over
- When the structure is complete, this bet acts as a score multiplier. For example, you complete a 4 tile landing pad and your bet is 5. Each tile is worth 3 points. Therefore, you will score 4x3x5 = 60 points upon structure completion
- There is a fixed number of tiles in the draw stack. Once all tiles have been placed, the game is over
- Note that a player can discard any drawn tile. But this comes at a penalty of 5 points. The tile is not placed back in the stack
- At the end of the game, any outstanding bets are counted for half points toward your score. For example, you have
an unfinished power line that spans 5 tiles. Each line tile is worth 2 points and your bet is 3. Therefore you score (5x2x3)/2 = 15 points
